Free For All . . . Everyday

It turns out that even when you love baseball, and love writing about baseball games and baseball players, you may not love writing about the offseason. There are rumors and speculation. There are possibilities and probabilities. There are big dollar signs and bigger dollar signs. Don’t get me wrong—it’s interesting. I’m just not terribly motivated to write about the ins and outs of the hot stove.

So I’ve made the decision to return hanging sliders to a free newsletter, at least until spring training games begin in March—just around the newsletter’s one-year anniversary. As of today, all paid subscriptions are on hold.

Until then, I will write and publish free newsletters when I have something to say—about a free agent signing, a trade, the Hall of Fame, the A’s, etc.

Thank you, thank you to my all of my yearly paid subscribers. You are the engine that kept me going all season long. I hope you got as much out of the full newsletter experience as I put into it for the 2023 season.

Thank you to all the monthly subscribers, whenever you came on board. It was a thrill to start this newsletter and watch my subscriber base grow, bit by bit, over the course of the season.

Hang in there everyone. Ohtani will sign somewhere soon!
